About Alma Labs

Alma Labs is an edtech platform that teaches middle school students about Artificial Intelligence. It breaks down complex AI concepts into short, fun lessons so kids can learn how AI works and how to use it safely.

The Problem

Most learning platforms look too dry or academic, which makes kids lose interest quickly.

Quick UX Solutions

  • Friendly Character Animations: A small animated mascot guides students step-by-step and keeps them encouraged.

  • Simple Language & Cards: No technical jargon—everything is shown using clear cards, big buttons, and bright visual steps.

  • Reward-Driven Flow: Clear progress bars and celebratory screens make learning feel like a game.

Screen Breakdown

AI can be hard to understand for young students. Most learning platforms look too dry or academic, which makes kids lose interest quickly.

Onboarding & Welcome

The journey begins with a clean welcome screen that introduces Alma Labs. Animated mascot characters greet the student right away, making the first interaction feel warm, fun, and non-intimidating.

Student Quiz & Setup

Before reaching the lessons, students answer a few quick questions about what they know and what interests them. The interactive cards and character reactions turn this initial signup step into an engaging mini-game.

Home & Main Dashboard

The main dashboard gives students a clear view of their learning path. Large visual cards show active topics like "Spotting AI in Your Digital Life" with simple progress bars so students always know what to do next.

Interactive Lesson Workspace

Inside a lesson, the layout stays clean and distraction-free. Students can read short explanations, watch quick videos, and try hands-on AI exercises with immediate visual feedback.

Progress & Completion

When a student finishes a module, a fun celebration pop-up appears with animated character reactions and achievements. This gives kids an instant feeling of success and motivates them to start the next lesson.
